ABOUT
I’m Megan Goddard, founder of Shakedown Pilates.
I’m a comprehensively certified Pilates teacher with a background in dance and nearly a decade of teaching experience. My training includes Mat, Reformer, Chair, Cadillac, and Ladder Barrel, and I’ve spent years helping people build strength, confidence, and trust in their bodies through thoughtful movement.
Growing up as a dancer, the studio and stage were some of the places I felt most grounded. Through life’s transitions, movement has continued to be a source of strength, connection, and stability. Those experiences ultimately shaped the vision behind Shakedown Pilates.
The name Shakedown reflects a belief that movement can be a place of freedom, connection, and community. My approach is rooted in the idea that exercise should support your real life without punishment or pressure.
Whether we’re working together in a private session, online class, in your home, or at a community event, my goal is to help you move through life with more strength, awareness, confidence, and ease.
I work with people through all seasons of life, from those new to Pilates to those looking to deepen an existing practice. Sessions are personalized, approachable, and designed to help you feel more connected to your body both inside and outside of the studio.
At the end of the day, Pilates isn’t just about exercise. It’s about creating a stronger foundation for the life you want to live.
